FAQ

Here at Cornish Adventure we think all ages should be able to enjoy the coastal environment. We can take anyone from age 8 upward we recommend that anyone under the age of 13 has an adult with them to help get changed and provide adult support for some of the more challenging aspects of our sessions. We have no upper age limit as long as you feel fit and healthy enough to enjoy the sea then you can suit up and live the dream!

Don’t panic if it’s raining, we will be wearing wetsuits! We if it is damp on the day of your session we recommend bringing a waterproof coat to get changed into after the session.

We provide all of the equipment you’ll need for your session. The only things you will need to bring are;

  • Swimwear for under the wetsuit
  • towels and dry clothes to get changed
  • Hopefully some suncream will be needed
  • Rain coat if it is liquid sunshine
  • A bag to pop your things in

All of our Cornish Adventures start at our base on Dinham Farm. We will get you kitted up and ready to rock and roll before jumping on the big blue minibus and heading down to our chosen spots.

Our Cornish Coasteering trips then head down to either Port Quin or Port Gaverne depending on the conditions.

We also run Cornish Coasteering Port Gaverne sessions that run from our second base at Port Gaverne itself.

For Cornish Kayaking we will be heading down to either Porthilly for our low tide route or Dinham Creek for our A to B routes.

Cornish Surfing will take you to our local surf beach at Polzeath.

If we have to cancel sessions due to adverse sea conditions or unforeseen circumstances we will try to reschedule to an alternative time and date that suits you. We can also offer gift cards so you can rebook at your convenience. If we are unable to do so we will offer a full refund.

If you need to change or cancel your session due to exceptional circumstances please get in touch as early as possible and we will seek to be fair and reasonable.

Time and tide waits for no-one so it is important to arrive on time for your session. The sessions will always run like so;

  • Arrive in our car park
  • Do some paperwork and meet the team
  • Get suited up and hop on the big blue bus
  • Jump in the sea and live the dream!
  • Get changed and head back to base

All of our session times are available by clicking on the big yellow button! Once you have made a booking you will receive a confirmation email with your session time on it along with some reminder emails before the event.
